Sugar substitutions

So - I am 4 weeks post-op and I hate sugar substitutions like stevia, equal, splenda - etc.. Hated them pre-op and I hate them now, they just leave a bad taste in my mouth. I have dabbled in using just a few dripps of Agave in my farina and oatmeal. Any ideas on what else can be used?

Is sugar banded forever?

I don''t do artificial sugars. I am allergic to most of them, and stevia. I use raw honey, and on occasion maple syrup. I just don't go nuts with it. For oatmeal, I add date paste or dried cranberrie

I don''t do artificial sugars. I am allergic to most of them, and stevia. I use raw honey, and on occasion maple syrup. I just don't go nuts with it. For oatmeal, I add date paste or dried cranberries for sweetness. I don't like agave, it's too sweet for me. Sugar isn't bad, overindulging in it is.

I like xylitol takes like sugar to me maybe slightly courser
