I had my surgery August 6th and was told the first 2 weeks I wouldn't have energy but then that would change. Well here I am with no energy...like dozing at work and no energy for anything. This normal and is there anything I can do? Thanks!
I had my surgery August 6 and as of today I'm down 19 pounds. Before surgery my knees hurt all the time. I would have never thought that would go away this quick, but it did. I have a large family that I have to cook for and believe me, the food smells great and there have been a few times I miss it, but I don't miss that knee pain, so it most definfitely worth the little things I'm giving up!
How much are you taking in at one time? I was told to sip a medicine cup of liquid over a 15 minute period. It took forever and it seemed like I was sipping all day, but it's important to get the fluids, Did your doctor put you on any liquid antacids?
I'm not sure what your doctor recommended, but for the first two weeks mine said liquids only. Isopure and the Syntrax nectar sweets have been good. Like Inner Surfer Girl said SF popsicles, broth, and crystal light. I was able to have strained low fat cream Soups and plain greek yogurt, but everyone's doctors are different.
I was also told whey isolate Protein only. A nurse told me to try this other protein (it was whey concentrate) and it made me SO sick.
Good luck!
