I got a call from the surgical coordinator THIS MORNING who said I do not have to wait to schedule anymore AND she is going to try to schedule the pre-op stuff in the same day as my final NUT appt! I am so HAPPY!!!!!

I went from waiting to having a surgery date in 19 days! Sooooooo much to do.

  • Hi ladies. I am now officially post op !! Feeling way better than I expected. I am very tired but I'm comfortable and relaxed. Surgery went well and the hospital staff is awesome !! Hope all of us

  • I am officially post op now too! I'm still pretty groggy but just did my first walk. Yay! It is going much better than I expected as well.

  • I think I've come through pretty well. 1 bout of nausea yesterday after surgery but no vomiting. Gas is concentrated more up top so a lot of burping but no real pain. Finally got some ice chips today.

I am extra gassy today too. I have very minimal pain (thank goodness). My heart rate is still a little high, so I'm staying until tomorrow. I'm super tired ????????. They started me on water and cranberry juice this afternoon. So far, so good. Chat with you all

soon.

@@Margie122 So glad you made it home ok! I hope your nausea is gone.

@@shellyd67 Happy that there's minimal pain. I sure wish your heart rate would come back to a normal level.

@@TXTinana The incision that hurts you most is the same one hurting me. I can't move without feeling it tugging. The bleeding has pretty much stopped. The gas pain is a, well, pain, huh? Ugh.

Everyone, take care of you!

Been in my hospital bed most of this evening with a headache. Getting released in the morning and dreading the ride home.

Heading home soon. Still have some gas pain and I am really tired but feeling well otherwise. I am getting my liquids in without any issues ????Hope you all are doing well.

Good evening all. Surgery went very well. I'm not in much pain from the surgery itself just sore. The gas pain is an other story. I just want to burp so bad. Overall I feel better soon Han expected. Now to sleep again.

@@thinkingthin15 Congrats! The gas pain is totally brutal. Walking as much as you can really does help. I almost always burp two or three times while I'm walking laps around the inside of my house...it's too hot outside. Keep us posted!

Feeling tired a lot. Want to sleep and sip. About to walk the hall again. Pain not to bad at all but getting my meds regularly which helps for when the burps happens. But overall I and 4/10.

The gas really is the worst part. 3 days post op today and I feel pretty good. I also am still wanting to sleep a lot and haven't been able to get all the liquids down but my doctor says that's okay right now just get down what as much as I can. Phew. This is definitely no "easy way out."

Glad you all are doing well. Can't wait for my turn! Prayers for speedy recovery and strength to you all! Enjoy the new you!
