Perhaps some watered down herbal tea just to see how your body reacts? Your doc may have reasons, but non caffeinated may be his advice... Call and ask on Monday. His office is there for his patients

I have been having my coffee protein shake since I got home from the hospital. Just make sure you get your fluids in and you should be fine.

I've been having coffee since around week 5. My surgeon insists it's fine for his patients as long as we're getting our water intake. I have unsweetened Starbucks iced coffee in the jug from the store

I'm five weeks out and have been doing pretty well. They have told me no caffeine, but I love my cup of tea in the morning. I've never drank coffee but really want to have a cup of tea. I've sustained from it until now - the pressure is driving me nuts! Do any of you drink any caffeine and what's the reason for not drinking it... I'm guessing dehydration. Is maybe just a cup of tea okay?
