Sad about missing food

PLEASE tell me I am not the only one who literally gets sad to the point of tears over not having food. I was sleeved 6/3 so am 8 days post op and the past couple days were hard, as to see why my body is healing nicely and I'm not worried about that, I'm worried about not having food. I am in full liquids but so ready for some density or flavor to eat. When I see people eat or food around it makes me sad almost to the point of tears! Your mind is such as strong influence I never realized how much head hunger I have. Oh & food commercials on tv used to be nothing.. Now I'm practically drooling over anything that pops up on tv edible. Yall am I alone?

LOL. If they convict you of "apple murder", you could always "a-peel" the verdict.

Guys and gals. It totally gets better. I'm three months post op and eat pretty much anything I want. I will tell you that occasionally I get aggravated because I can't eat as much as I want. But right

I second mel77. Everyone is great here.

I definitely have had anxiety about losing my best friend "food". It's tough especially when the people around you continue to enjoy all of your old faves. I swear, not even a week out the hospital and I've seen Chick Fil A, Taco Cabana, Wendy's and Pizza Hut boxes laying around the house. I'm like jeez guys can you stick the knife any deeper.

Apple murder, will that be the next series... Bariatrics: the first month out? ROTFL!

I was sleeved on the 22nd of June. I miss the numbness that food gave to me. I do love texture and flavor too. Every time I see others eating junk, I count the fat grams, the non-existent protein, the carbs, and I picture the new me. My family went to Sonic last night. There was nothing that I could have. So I ordered a Route 44 cup of ice for 75 cents. I chews the ice slowly and eventually drank the melted ice. Keep asking yourself why?

That is very tough! I am fortunate my family semi-tries to eat healthy like me. They occasionally eat unhealthy food but I don't know how I would manage with being around it all the time. Props to you!

Have you tried maybe asking them to eat that when you're not home? Or for them to eat it outside of the home so you don't have to see, smell, dream about it? Lol

I often will get frustrated at the fact that I can't eat as fast as others do. I will be hungry and just want to eat at the speed of my hunger. I think I need to start eating healthy snacks during the day so I don't get so hungry at dinner time. It is a battle and will be worth it in the end. This too shall pass.

I forgot for one meal and paid for it with pain. So I have to pay attention to the speed. Tough with guys eating at the speed of light
