I found that the hunger subsided once I started on solids. When I feel a mild hunger pang I now drink water to hold off until my next solid meal.

Did you feel full after?

Hungry here too on day 7. Had some watery potato soup tonight (2 tsp) and it made such a difference. I have since been able to get n more fluids and protein.

I'm on day 6 and I've felt hungry more than I would prefer to admit. I would love to eat some deli meat or something right now but I'm still following the doctor's diet. Just keep plugging along I guess.

The part of your stomach that is removed with the sleeve is the part of your stomach that causes hunger pains. Most likely you are experiencing head hunger, Going off plan is a slippery slope and behavior that got us into trouble in the first place. Make sure you are getting your fluids and eating per your plan so you don't have those feelings.

This being said, everyone's journey is their own and it is up to you ultimately what you do...good luck!!!

I was getting what I thought were hunger pains on day two while still in the hospital! I now realize that my brain was mistaking just plain stomach pain as hunger. Now a month post-op I am still having some issues with "hunger pain" and have found that a couple of Tums seems to help even though my Dr. still has me on Prilosec.
