How far in your recovery are you?

I do the premier Protein shakes from costco, 2-3 a day. I find the chocolate one is to my liking and it makes it so much easier grabbing those and taking them to work so I don't have to think about packing food. I also add in Protein powder to every smoothie or Soup I eat. It has no taste and it is disguised well. I cant get the daily requirement from food alone.

Do you have a GNC or Vitamin Shoppe in your area? They will have a lot of protein powder options, many of them in individual serving packets so you can try out several. It isn't cheap, but it's cheaper than buying a big tub of powder and ending up hating it!

There are literally zillions of Protein packs. You can order a sample pack from some company online. I didn't use them so hopefully another poster can provide that info. Besides Vitamin stores like GNC, you can also try drugstores like Walgreens, CVS and RiteAide. They often sell individual packs. Whole Foods also sell Protein shakes and has sample packs. Keep trying until your find something that works.

Today is day 14 post op. I tried the premier shakes and can't get it down. I have looked for the non flavored protein but can't find it.

Genepro (not a fan) is sold on Amazon, Isopure Naked Whey is sold online and at stores like GNC and VItamin Shoppe, Unjury is sold online. GNC, Target and Vitamin Shoppe will allow you to return with a receipt .

Hi All. I'm 5 days out post op. I must say I'm feeling pretty good. Outside of that the only pain I'm really experiencing is, my cuts on my stomach. Minimum pain. I've gotten my Protein Shakes from Sam's Wholesale, the name of them is Premium Protein. To say I'm not a big fan of NO SHAKES, I gotta admit, these shakes taste pretty darn good.........I actually like the chocolate flavor. It taste real good.

My favorite tasting protein so far (and by far) is Unjury.

GENEPRO by musclegen doesn't taste like anything!!!! I bought mine from lucky Vitamin.com with buying two bags it was $60 free shipping. It basically comes to $1 a day if you use 1 serving a day. It's 98 calories, 1 tablespoon serving. I add it to Greek yogurt so I get 42 grams of Protein in one sitting. (Some people think you can only absorb a certain amount of protein at once both my nutritionist and my surgeon told me that was absolutely ridiculous) at 42 grams I only have to eat 18 more grams of protein a day to reach my goal of 60.

You can also get two samples of the Genepro off their website for $3.50. It's a fantastic product you can't beat!!!

I have liked Syntrax. They have 2 lines, Matrix and Nectars. I used to think I liked the Premier Protein until I tried the Syntrax. Once I did there was no going back.

I ordered samples from My Bariatric Pal. I mostly use the vanilla Matrix and then add flavoring. SF Hershey's chocolate syrup, SF DaVinci syrups in Caramel, Gingerbread, brown sugar/cinnamon, pumpkin pie, no sugar added frozen fruit such as mango, peaches and later strawberries. NUT told me you can add extract such as almond.

I also have Matrix Peanut Butter Cookie. That is my husband's favorite. You can just add PB to the Vanilla.

Many of thr fruit flavors are good. Not as sweet or thick as others.

For Proteins from GNC I think if you don't like them you have up to 30 days to return them for a full refund, just check to make sure.
