I'm nervous but I'm ready for my new life! I should be getting out of the hospital on my birthday so I'm really looking at this as a rebirth to a new life!

My check in is 5:30am....good luck to you all!!

@@MichelleTN, I did the same for dinner last night. Lol. It was my hubby's b'day! Had to celebrate for him and one last amazing meal before none for a long time to come.

I'm having dinner with my family but drinking my protein pre op liquid diet 2nd day....I'm so hungry I want to eat!!

It will all go much more happily if you connect with them, talk with them and get to know them the best you can. Tell them how much you appreciate them. They are the midwives of your rebirth. Be VERY grateful.

Time goes by slowly during your recovery. Not all will be pleasant, but it will pass, and the good stuff will show up day by day. The pain is only temporary and manageable. Write a love letter to yourself before you go, so you can read it when you come home.

Be brave and confident and cheerful. This is going to be great! I am already too small for my clothes. It hasn't been even 2 weeks yet. OMG!

I am right there with you Michelle! I have 7.5 hours until I have to be at the hospital. I am not nervous at all and don't feel like I will be, but...you never know! Good luck to you and all others who have surgery this week!

Good luck to everyone having surgery this week! First few days are rough but it gets easier and you'll be glad you did it!

Surgery went good. Got home yesterday & slept all night. Finally got rid of the gas, thought I was gonna kill over with it. Ive not had any pain meds & I'm feeling good. Just trying to get my fluid in. How is everyone else doing?

So good to see all went well with everyone!! I've notice I'm spitting up mucus from my chest and sneezing so much junk out!! Hmmm don't know where it came from. :)

How did your surgery go ?

MichelleTN,

I was just talking to my daughter about you and wondering how you did and are doing. I am so happy to be home. When they got inside me they discovered a "substantial" hiatal hernia so am a bit more sore than I had hoped. All in all, it could definitely be much worse!!! Glad to hear you are doing well!
