Back pain?

I am 5 days post op and feeling pretty good with the exception of severe back pain which I have had starting after surgery. I am backing off of my narcotic pain meds and trying to do mostly liquid Tylenol. I'm urinating so I don't think it is kidney related and I am up and moving as prescribed by my Dr. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience and if anything helped?

Where is the back pain? I contacted a very nasty kidney infection from the catheter. Get a urinalysis

I am just over 3 weeks out, and have some lower back pain, likely from favoring my ab muscles, to avoid pain at the incision sites. At about 2 1/2 weeks, I had muscle pain around the large incision, my back hurt the most then. Now it seems better. When in doubt, call your surgeon.

I am having my WLS next week but have read that lying flat on the OR table causes some to experience back pain afterwards. Just something I read, don't really know. However, check with your doctor to be sure.
