I'm scheduled for April 1! April fools Day? Yikes. Here's hoping my surgeon isn't a prankster and rearranges things so that my arm flies up every time I burp or something.

Good luck to all of you! I was sleeved almost one year ago on April 16, 2014. Best decision I ever made and easiest weight I've ever lost!!!! Good luck on your own journey! Xoxoxo

  • I'm done! Sleeved with a hernia repair (I had no indication that I needed one). Ever this is going well. Sips..check Broth....check, pain...mostly under control. Thank you Dr. Billing and all

@@CandyCrushVSG .. Hi CandyCrush.. You will only benefit yourself the sooner you get used to our new life. The more you lose now, the less there is for later. You should always ask your surgeon, but it seems only good can come from the two week prep time.

Hi everyone!! My insurance changed their requirements so I am now only required to do 3 months rather than 6 so I am rushing to complete everything by 3/17. That's the last time I see my surgeon and he will submit to insurance on that day. I've been told, based on that, I will have surgery in April. I REALLY want/need people to go through this with so would love to be part of your little group here.

Hey there ... Let's go through it together!!! I'm currently on a liquid diet and I'm just beside myself, I'm constantly hungry... I don't understand the two week liquid thing, I'm obese but not seriously obese.. 222 as of this morning and I'm 5'6. The nurse doing my endoscopy last week said I don't look big enough to be having this surgery... ???? I'm just agrevated and in a bad mood.... Hungry.. ????????

Ive already started replacing one meal and I havnt done any food funerals and already eat lean meats and vegetables and water or crystal light so I am pretty use to that since ive been doing it for months now. I just have a hard time losing weight due to severe fibromyalgia which is why I decided to do a 7 week liquid diet instead of the 1 day.

All - there appears to be two separate threads on this exact subject started by the same person ... here is the other one

In that one, we're trying to see if anyone would be interested in a private FB group for our time frame.

@Debranua is willing to open the FB group. Please PM Debranua if you are interested! We’d like a good little number of people before getting the group going.

42 days to go! Today Is my first day of a modified version of my pre op diet and its going pretty well. Not particularly hungry. I have to remind myself to drink my Protein shakes. For that feeling of food in my stomach, I ate a big salad like the one required in my pre op diet. I'm going to try this for a week and push for 2 weeks. My weight has stalled, hoping this will get the scale moving again. I have an appointment coming up with my PCP, I still weigh the same and I don't want it to looked like a gave up, because I haven't. I'm still eating right and trying to lose weight.

Just got my surgery date it's April 20th!!!!

I'm a mixed bag of emotions....

Yeah i dont understand the short pre op diets unless the person doesnt have a high bmi. I have a bmi of 45 and enlarged liver so im told to do 3 weeks.

I am an April 7th sleever. I do not have to do a pre op diet except for the day before because of the diet I am already doing. With the Ideal Protein diet, you are following all of the pre op diet rules, it is high Fiber and little to no carbs. i am however, choosing to do the stage two, full liquid diet for my two weeks pre op.

Hi Everyone! Im Brand spanking new to this group, and my sugery is April 1st!

Heya ladies.. On the other "April Sleevers" thread a gal has started a private FB page for us to get together on. If you are interested go to that thread and it's towards the end I think where the information is. I just grabbed a few names from this thread to Tag so maybe others can tag a few more.

I like the idea of it being on FB and since it's secret no one on your FB will know you belong to it. It seems more intimate and easier to chat and share and really get to know one another. Hope to see you there!

My Dr requires a 14 day pre op.It calls for 2 meals of high quality, high protein, low carb, shakes mixed with water, not milk. 1 meal per day of 4oz broiled, baked or grilled chicken, turkey or fish with green

Vegetables......lettuce,green beans, asparagus, cabbage ,cucumbers, zucchini, spinach and broccoli. No butter or sauces on vegetables, low carb salad dressing or salad sprinter for flavor.

Allowed in limited amount diet soda, crystal lite, water, coffee no cream, tea, sugar free gelatin, fat free broths, and sugar free popsicles

Avoid foods high in calories and carbohydrates, bread, beans, potatoes, corn, pasta, rice, desserts, reg soda and alcohol.

Also begin taking a multivitamin once a day.

This is what my Dr requires of me. To help shrink liver and got rid of fat around the area . Good luck hope this helped .
