Wow, I head back to work on Monday...I'm feeling a lot better, still eating way too fast and suffering for it....but it's a learning curve for sure. I do find I feel sick to my stomach after every 'meal'. I wonder if this is due to eating too fast or just the new stomach still healing.... Weighed myself today, down 36 pounds since March 22, when I started my all liquid diet, so I'm pleased. I get to have mushy foods next week, so looking forward to more variety. Stay positive, we'll get there!!

@Jennicarn: each day the pain will be less and less....I didn't walk a lot in the hospital either. You'll notice a huge difference in your pain and gas a week from now. Take care, Lori

Today is 1 week since my surgery, not a lot of energy yet, but the only pain is from my staples and they come out on Tuesday!! Can't wait to go swimming. I weighed myself this morning and have lost 25.5 pounds since starting the pre-op liquid diet!!! I'm really happy the surgery is behind me and can't wait to lose more!! Good luck to those whose time is close, the pain doesn't last forever, you CAN do it!!!!

I have chicken broth at home, and will stop for gas x!! Thanks for the tips!!

Day 2 post op and hoping to be released from the hospital today...I find the gas pain worse in the evening, so I walked last night...still sick feeling with every sip of water....and the hunger cramps hurt my stomach....but all in all feeling better....can't wait to get home!!

Had my surgery this morning and all went well....not in serious pain as I feared....drugged and drained at the moment.....hahahaha

Tomorrow is the big day, what I've waited 3 years for....why am I so emotional and nervous?? Packing my suitcase and it hits me....it's real....the first part of this journey is over....the hard work starts tomorrow...and I realize I am ready.... I agree Liv2Ride.....just want the surgery over....good luck on Wed! About sleeping.....maybe it's the drastic change in diet....no carbs.....hopefully it will get better as we get used to it!

April 9th....and the journey begins....

I was originally scheduled for today, started my all liquid diet a week ago this past Sunday....was postponed till April 9th, stayed with all liquids, just didn't want to go thru those first few days again.....I'm finding it hard to sleep.....but not sure if it's nerves or the change in my diet.....looking forward to getting on with the next phase of this journey....and wearing a belt!
