I'm scheduled for April 1! April fools Day? Yikes. Here's hoping my surgeon isn't a prankster and rearranges things so that my arm flies up every time I burp or something.

Good luck to all of you! I was sleeved almost one year ago on April 16, 2014. Best decision I ever made and easiest weight I've ever lost!!!! Good luck on your own journey! Xoxoxo

Wish me luck..I get sleeve tomorrow morning

Good Luck to you. Sending prayers for a speedy and painless recovery. My surgery is April 20th and am nervous and excited.

Hi all. Just an update I was sleeved on the 8th of april. Not the smoothest operation, I had a bleed after and had to go back into surgery. I have been very grogy for 2 days although feeling alot better this morning. I have not been able to get out of bed yet due to blood pressure but feeling alot better today ????

Jessica,

Praying that you get better. So sorry to hear about the rough time you've had. If you need to talk or just vent, we're all here for you.

I'm sorry to hear about your complication. How are you feeling now? Wishing you a full & speedy recovery!

I'm April 29!

April 14th I will be sleeved, I am getting so scared and nervous, on pre op diet right now, it is really hard, but I have found as long as I get my protein shakes in on time, haven't been that hungry, but cooking supper for my husband is the hardest, when I am done cooking I just have to leave the room, he feels bad for eating in front of me but I just leave the room til he is done and he does the clean up so I am not tempted to get at the leftovers, I have been so tempted.

Well hello April 20th ladies! Wow! This is becoming a reality and I don't know about you, but I am getting super excited. I am starting my liquid diet tomorrow (supposed to start Monday), two days early because I think it will be super hard to start on Monday as I will be at work, at least by Monday I will be on day 3.

I don't know about either of you, but I am more nervous about the liquid diet thing than I am the surgery! I am so worried I will be in a brain fog at work, which I can't afford. Everyone else has survived so I guess I will as well.

I am also nervous because my surgeon does this as a day surgery! I am leaving about 4 hours after I have the surgery. They walk us around pretty much right after we wake up and we are required to drink 2 oz every 15 minutes. I am glad I will have pain meds though.

How is everyone doing on the liquid diet thing?

Jill

Hey! Mine is scheduled for April 20th!

Hey mis4may! I just got my surgery date and I am scheduled for April 20th as well!!!! Are you getting excited or what?

Would love to support each other if you are still interested!

Jill

....hi, I too am scheduled for the 20th. I have never been so ready. I'm so excited and can't wait. Good luck and hopefully we can support each other.

Hi. I'm also scheduled for the 20th. I can't wait. I begin my pre-op liquid diet this Monday, 4/6. I'm nervous but excited.

Well I thought I added a comment to this thread but is shows up as a new post! LOL! Anyway, I am VERY excited as I am sure you ladies are. I am starting my liquid diet tomorrow! I am more nervous about the liquid diet than the surgery, haha. I have been eating everything "forbidden" before I start this liquid thing, so I am sure I will have some sugar detox symptoms. However, I CAN do this!!!!

My surgery is day surgery, this facility makes us get up pretty much within an hour after surgery, walking around, drinking 2 oz every 15 minutes, etc. The walking is supposed to help release the gas that creates that pain, plus it prevents blood clots. I haven't read of anyone else leaving the day of, a bit nervous about that, but this surgeon has been doing this for years and is very well renowned in my area so I will trust him!

SO EXCITED!!!!! Tell me about yourselves!

Jill

@blondbomb45...I have never been so ready for anything as much as I am for this. I started my pre-op liquid diet Monday, I have some cravings but am sticking to it. Its now only 9 days away, yayyy!!!!

I am right there with you momfromjersey22!!!! I have never been so ready for anything in my life either! 9 days YAY!!! The pre-op liquid thing should be ok, I just need to remind myself that I am preparing my body for surgery, I have survived worse! I will stick with it as well, no matter how hard the cravings may be.

I'm doing preop liquid too. I'm not very hungry, but cooking for my family is REALLY hard. Dinner time is tough. I'm fine at lunch, but I can't even sit at the table for dinner. It's just too much. Everything smells so good.
