@@GelaBela Mine is the 30th. My preop tests are tomorrow and my premeeting is the 19th. I just want to get it done. Not even nervous - today anyway.

I had my sleeve March 3rd, 2015. No pain in the hospital thanks to my Dilaudid PCA pump. The first night home I did fine with the aide of Dilaudid tablets. Today is March 6th and I feel great. I flushed the remaining Dilaudid tablets. I am ready to move forward and get my exercise on. I have to wait till Narch 11th which is when my postop appt is to be cleared for work, exercise plan. Feeling good. I definitely think I have made the right choice for me. This full liquid diet sucks but it will also end at my postoperative appt.

Great to hear your doing well. I'm feeling okay erect I freaking hate protein shakes and I still want MEAT!!. LOL can't have any thing with artificial sweeteners or I'm running to the bathroom so I'm kinda stuck. As far as your drugs tho, don't flush them. Turn them into your local police dept. We don't want them in our water ways and of course we don't want them laying around so the police will either take them(controlled especially) or direct you to your local health dept. Some pharmacies will take them also but some charge (ridiculous!) Hope you continue with you great recovery

I'm scheduled for the 24th too! Terrified! Excited! Nervous! All of the above

My surgery date is March 31st as well. I'm so ready and excited for this journey to move forward!

I'm March 31 also what dr. R u using?
I am March 31st too. Only two weeks away!!

Jebv1949 my surgery was March 3rd. and was pretty uneventful too. Very little pain except for the hiatal hernia repair and that was not bad just an inconvenience. The whole experience was amazing! My surgery was done using a robot, I don't know if that made a difference....... no pain, tiny incisions and no bruising. I was very surprised. Now to get through one more week of the full liquids diet.

I am waiting to schedule but planning either March 30 or 31. Would love to have a March support group and go through this together

I am March 31st also. Will be nice to have someone to follow along with after surgery.

I'm also schulded for the 30 th of March today is my first day of protein drinks, ext.

I has my sleeve done yesterday. It was the longest day of my life. So much gas pain, dry heaving, and just straight up uncomfortableness. They put me on some new pain meds today and she's giving anti nausea meds more often this morning it is making me feel so much better. Good luck to ally having theirs done today.

First few days are hardest @la619sd. You got this!

Add me to the March 24th group!!! I just got back from pre-op testing....it's the final countdown!

Here's what I'm planning on taking in my bag to hospital-am I forgetting something?

Gas-x strips

Chapstick

Toothbrush and toothpaste

Brush and hair-ties

MAYBE: Robe and slippers (may not need if gowns aren't showing my undies!)

change of comfy clothes for ride home

pillow for ride home

Cell/Charger

MAYBE: Nook, charger and extension cord

Doing any better. Don't drink cold water. Just room temp.

I'm having surgery next week, the 24th and it's starting to set in. I have already made a list of things to pack for the hospital and compile all the meds I need for afterwards. I'm so ready to get this overwith but the days seem to be dragging!!!

Also-I have to admit. My family ate hoagies for dinner last night and I had ONE inch of a sub....OMG it felt so good to CHEW something. I won't cheat again because surgery is so close but man, it tasted so good.
