  1. Sleeved 03/24. Down 67 lbs and 13 lbs to my goal. Much slower now and I'm finding I am able to eat a little more than before so I have to really pay attention and make sure I use smaller plates etc.
  2. 5 months post op and 59 lbs down. 20 more to my high goal - hoping to lose another 15 after that. The loss has slowed down but that's more because of summer and camping lol. Congrats everyone on their hard work.
  3. Yell away! That's wonderful news! I had my surgery in Alberta so I don't know your surgeon but I do know how exciting that call is! ????
  4. Bread is a bad one for me too. Also, those grocery store rotisserie chickens. We loved them and it was a semi-healthy meal for those busy days but I've tried a few times and I get seriously nauseated!
  5. I've lost 48.8 from my heaviest weight and 24 pounds since surgery. I'm so close to 50 lbs down I can taste it!
  6. Never, ever thought I'd have this problem again but I totally do!
  7. I have been stalled for a couple weeks now. I had measured myself before surgery so just to check I measured again yesterday and, even though the pounds are the same, I'm down 2 1/2 inches! NSV!! Also, I've noticed I'm sleeping better and am down a size. It all made me feel a little better. Although I would really like at least a little love from my scale! Lol
  8. Hey do u mind me adding u? It wud b good to have others on mine Hi wud u mind me adding u on mfp?Can never have too many friends!
  9. If anyone is looking for my fitness pal supportive friends, my username is tndfamily!
  10. Ditto all of this for me! I have been wondering the same thing. If it wasn't for the fact that I can only eat 1/4 cup of cream of wheat at a time, I'd be seriously concerned.
  11. I've wondered that myself. I've adventures with a few bites if turkey and a little stuffing with gravy. I have to eat very slowly and chew the heck out of everything, but so far I am able to eat everything I've tried. I cannot stand the sight, smell or taste of any of the protein drinks anymore so have to get some protein in somehow. Doing ok with the cream of wheat and yogurt though but I have been eating about one real mean (saucer sized) per day. Am still losing at a reasonable rate so I'm feeling ok. Just guilty about not following orders lol.
  12. Today is day #8 and I'm feeling great! First day I didn't reach for Tylenol as soon as I got out of bed! Yahoo. I even managed to help hubby get out girls ready for school this morning. I will have to be extra careful not to overdo today and blow this feeling lol
  13. Yesterday was rough! Nutritionally I'm doing well. Had my surgery 1 week ago today and I'm down 5lbs, so happy about that! But about this energy thing - what's up with that! I folded half a basket of laundry and then had to rest up to take a shower. My hubby told me I'm over-doing it but, compared to normal me, I'm really doing nothing! Please tell me my energy level will improve soon!
  14. I'm afraid to even weigh myself! I had surgery on Tuesday and I actually feel huge. I know it's likely because everything inside is still swollen and I'm still working out a lot of gas so I do know in my head that I haven't gained any weight. Just don't think my heart could handle seeing a higher number on the scale. I think I'm gonna wait until I'm al least walking upright lol
  15. Monday I can start introducing solids into my meals. I was told to try one new thing then wait a day before trying another. I thought eggs would be a good protein source and a good place to start but a friend of mine said to be careful with eggs. Any tips or suggestions out there? I do know that we are all different and can react differently but I'd sure appreciate your advice.
  16. This is the stage I'm at today. Did I do the right thing?! What if I feel like this forever, is it really worth it?! Then I realize, making myself crazy on top of feeling like this will now help. It's not like we can actually undo this surgery. It's done! Now I have to work on getting in some sips, walking some steps lol and rest! We can do this thing!!
  17. @vickiecat I had the same surgery on the 24th. I am finding that most of my pain and discomfort seems to be coming from the hernia sites. Your description nailed it. It's like gas but not. I have a lot is "pressure" in that area. I'm trying to get some milked down cream of wheat into me but my stomach sounds crazy lol
  18. You got it! Good luck today! ????
  19. Only 6 more days to go for the March 24th sleevers!!!! Woo hoo
  20. I was having a real hard time! Waking up super hungry and very growly lolI started saving either part of my yogurt or one of my ensure for right before bed and that really helped!
  21. That's what I've been craving like crazy. Just a nibble lol
  22. I'm scheduled for the 24th too! Terrified! Excited! Nervous! All of the above
