Only three days to go! This weekend, my diet is all liquids, no more Optifast bars. Surgery is Monday at 7:00am.

Time to pull together my hospital bag!

My surgery is set for March 10th. On my 4th day of liquids and so far going well. Starting to get a little nervous/anxious....assuming that's normal?? Anyone else in NYC?

GNC sells Lean Shakes which have 25 grams of protein and were recommended by my surgeon and they're by far the best tasting ones I've tried.

I agree that the gnc lean shakes are the best tasting ones :). Sometimes I think they are too sweet so then I just add some instant decaf coffee to them and it helps. The vanilla bean is just like a creamer.

Glad im not the only one. I'm very well hydrated but this headache has me balled up on the couch. No lights, no tv, no reading. Just in to much pain. I do have chronic headaches but this one is different. Constant sharp stabbing kill me now pain.

I had headaches for the first 10 days of my pre op diet. My surgery is Monday..I'm freaking out.

March 7th! Sooooo stinkin close! ????????

Jackie1979 my date is also March 3rd. AND my name is also Jackie I'm so nervous and having some anxiety, I'm trying to hold it together.

My dad is march 3, too. It feels so surreal. I'm nervous and hungry and scared I'm going to have complications and that my hair is gonna fall out the moment I step foot out of the hospital.

My husband is going to take me in and at 6:30am and then he has to work at 1:00pm. Hopefully I wake up before then. Then he will come see me after he gets off work at 9. And then he works 8a to 4p the next day and he's off Thursday when I will get to come home.

I'm so super scared. I'm going through the liquid diet, have had diahreah (ugh) and my poops aren't regular and I feel like I can't plan them which is hard. I used to smoke cigarettes and I'm smoke free but I'm craving a nasty stinky cigarette more than food right now which is so gross for me to even think about.

A close friend and I started this journey together and she's pushing hers back til July and I'm worried that I won't have her support/she's jealous I'm going in sooner/she's going to bail on me. It's like every possible anxiety I could have is coming right now! And I was so so excited and I'm so so prepared! But ugh. The scary part is overwhelming!

Three more sleeps and then early wake up and then my life is gonna change forever! Yikes!!

Greatful_Love I feel your anxiety. We are both in the same boat. The surgery is on my mind every waking minute. I'm pretty freaked out by the whole thing but I know there is a reason I've come to this point. It's my last resort for getting healthy. I don't want to be the fat nana any longer. I want to be able to do the things I used to do before getting to heavy and my knees hurting. I want to be able to run and play with my grandchildren.

I want this so bad and at the same time I'm really frightened of the unknown.

Hopefully on the 3rd. I can report my experience while in my hosp. room and say "it was a cinch!" Good luck to you.

Day 13 of my 14-day pre-op liquid diet. I cannot believe I've made it. I've gotten through 3 take out office lunches and yesterday there was a huge brunch spread.

Today I picked up my post-op liquid tylenol w/codeine and pepcid.

My surgery is Monday and I'm supposed to be at the hospital for 6am.

I'm just....ready.

I am a Marcher. March 4th that is. I start my pre diet the 22nd of Feb. Waiting on the hospital to call me for pre op stuff. My primary Dr. visit is the 24th. I have to say that ball is rolling fast.

I am also going under March 4th!!

Terrified, nervous, anxious, and the list goes on...

I also started my pre op diet on the 22nd of February. It's actually not as bad as I thought. Day 2-3 were the worst! Lost 10lbs so far- wish it was more.

Yesterday, I seem to have caught a cold :$ Running nose and watery eyes. Does anyone know if this will cause a problem with the surgery?

TIA :)
