My surgery is the 30th and I am going to start the same diet tomorrow. a little nervous.

. Good luck!! So far so good today. Know it will get harder. Thinking of keeping a journal just to document this journey.

Ok. So I start my two week preop liquid diet today. I can have a lean meat and a green veggie at night though. So that's nice. Surgery on the 29th.

My surgery is the 23rd so I started the preop diet last week. Mine is similar to yours. 2 Protein shakes and a lean and green meal. All the "free" veg I want to snack on. Good news is I've lost about 8 lbs. Bad news is I'm hungry as hell!! ????

I try to remember it's the start of a process and this too shall pass ????

Good luck!

What flavor Isopure do you have? I've heard some "not so good things" about the taste. Start my preop diet soon (mine is 1 week) and surgery on the 31st.

I'm on day three of my pre op diet.. I'm shaky and starved surgery the 29th good luck everyone. Anyone find ways to make the smoothies more filling? I've added s.f instant pudding mix and chia seeds to thicken mine up. Oh and non fat Greek yogurt with the dry ranch packets for munching! But ermahgawd I want popcorn

Hi, my surgery is on Dec 30th, too!!! I will be right there with you!! We will both be toasting the New Year with our 1 oz. medicine cup of water in the hospital, lol!!! ???? ???? ???? I am excited, but nervous too. I think it's natural, as it would be before any type of major surgery. The most nerve racking thing for me is my fear of the unknown. I have always feared change, especially any big changes in my life, and this will by far be the biggest one yet. However, I am in therapy, and it helps to work on new coping skills other than eating, which up until I entered into the weight loss surgery program at Boston Medical Center almost a year ago, had been my go-to coping mechanism for any type of stress, depression and anxiety. I have major depression and generalized anxiety disorder, so it's been tough going, but I am trying harder and improving every day. It's a process for me, and will probably never stop being one. But since I first started this weight loss surgery journey on Dec. 13, 2013, up until my pre-op appointment on Dec. 11, 2014, literally almost a year ago, I have really tried to change my way of thinking and behavior in terms of eating, and I'm proud to say it worked. I have lost 46 pounds on my own, so I'm starting to be more confident that I can handle life after surgery. I would definitely appreciate lots of support and encouragement on this forum though, since I'm sure not every day is smooth sailing!!! Any advice for the day of discharge from the hospital and the first week or two at home would sure be helpful right now!!! It's coming up so fast!!! ???? ????

So proud for you and happy for you! I will try to keep updating this forum. Good luck!

I am on Day2 of the pre-op diet and celebrating ! I did have to see my PCP today as I have been having low BS and had to hold my insulin. He stopped the insulin unless my BS is over 150... hoping it never gets there. :)
