Very beginning stage

Hi,

I'm from Ottawa, Canada and have been to the group information session and going to my 1st surgical consult this week. Anybody else from Ottawa going to the WMC?

Looking forward to my appointment and the next steps.

My experience with Weight Loss Surgery has been life-saving. So thankful for this procedure. Hang in there, the process takes time, but it's worth it.

Good for you!! How excited you must be. Just keep reminding yourself that the better days are coming. Those shakes will come down easier, I guess...

Today, I am meeting the surgeon. This means that in approx 2-3 months, I should be where you are.

@tintin.

Good luck with the surgeon today! Yay! You get to pick up your Optifast too! FYI bring a large grocery bag or 2. Otherwise they give u a huge box to carry which you don't really need.

It is definitely an exciting time. A little stressful, but better days are ahead.

Soon you will be starting your shakes too.

We are all on the road to better health!! Woohoo!!

Hi Ottawa people! I'm also from Ottawa, met the surgeon January 20th and am not patiently waiting for my surgery date.

I gad my surgery yesterday with dr yelle at the civic!! Im acutally still here!! It wasnt as bad as i thought it would be, but that could be all tge pain meds talking lol.. No, its not bad at all! The worst is all the air in ur tummy and trying to work out!! Anyway good luck you guys!!!

Congrats @@melissajane!!! I met with Dr Yelle, he's also head of trauma surgery so I'm sure you were in great hands!

How's the 'farting competition' going?! Hahaha ;p

If you guys can get dr yelle, he is AWSOME!!! super nice and makes u feel comfortable..lol @ farting comp!! Ugh sooo much air lol!!!

Dr Yelle is awesome. He did my husband's gastric bypass surgery 2 yrs ago and his hernia surgeon last year. He is also the surgeon that is suppose to be doing mine in 3 wks!

@@Tintin, how did your appointment go? Did he/she give you a time frame for your surgery?

Got my Optifast yesterday and now waiting for the surgery date. I was told 2 to 4 months. However, latest ultrasound showed something they wanted to investigate first. Will need to get a colonoscopy.

@@Tintin were you able to buy a sample of each flavour before getting the 3 week supply?

@@kcadoret - I never thought of asking for samples before making a decision. I just took half chocolate and half vanilla.

@@anewme15 congrats on your progress!! That is awesome! Exciting times ahead.

I'm on Day 3 of the Optifast. Feeling a little tired, and hungry, but down 6.8lbs since Tuesday so I can't complain. A least having a set diet takes the work out of meal planning. Only 18 days of shakes to go. :):):)
