Very beginning stage

Hi,

I'm from Ottawa, Canada and have been to the group information session and going to my 1st surgical consult this week. Anybody else from Ottawa going to the WMC?

Looking forward to my appointment and the next steps.

Surgery went well. Been up walking around and drinking. Very little pain. Mainly a sore back from the beds I think. Yay! It's over. Now my new life begins. ????????????????

I am home from the hospital. It was so nice to nap in my own bed. I am still a little sore but managing. Not feeling to bad. Definitely gasey. Burping up a storm. Lol. ????

@@jcmo, I'm so glad to hear from you and things are going well. I wanted to ask, but did not want to intrude ! I can't believe that you are already home! That is awesome :). Keep us posted :)

Wow @@jcmo! I'm so glad to hear that you are doing well! And home so soon!! How did you manage to escape a day early?

My surgery was at 8am yesterday. I was drinking well. On minimal pain meds, up walking, farting, burping, peeing. No infections, blood sugars were good and I live 15 min from the hospital that did my surgery. ???????????? so excited to be home. The nurses and doctors took fantastic care of me.

That's great to hear! They do it at the Civic right?

@@jcmo, you're too funny with the burping, farting peeing! This is so comforting to hear. I'm really looking forward to getting my date. Meeting the surgeon on March 26 and it can't come soon enough!

Yes it was done at The Civic. I thought you guys would get a laugh out of the burping, etc. but it's TRUE!! Let me tell you, it's amazing how satisfying a good burp or fart it. Let me tell you. TMI but by the time you are done you really don't care.

I was the only one released that was done that day. The other 2 patients had to stay. My roommate wasn't doing as well, and she lived a far ways away.
