People Under 5 Feet

I am curious to know if there are any other shorties out there being sleeved or have been sleeved? I am 4'9.5 and the Nutritionist tweaked my diet a bit due to my height, she also told me do not do the liquid diet more than 7 day for surgery prep. . I just wondered the success and goals.

I don't think people realize that us short people under 5' should weight 100 or less. You'll lose weight fast just make sure you eat your protein. Also as soon as you can hit the gym that worked for me. Don't buy new clothes waste of money, thrift stores are the best. And I didn't keep my surgery a secret but I was extremely obese as you can see in my pictures. Once you start losing you'll end up tell people because you'll get sick and tired of all the questions.

Thank you for the tips. I do intend to tell people after the surgery. I feel it is a tool and we are blessed in our era to have tools to extend and enrich our lives. I am excited to get the surgery, get past the healing and hit the gym :)

I'm 4'11" or 5' depending on the day. I'm still waiting on a date though. I'll find out hopefully this week!!

Keep us posted cryssyd3

I will! Everything gets submitted tomorrow and the insurance company said they'll make a decision within 72 hours!

I'm exactly 5ft, I'm getting my sleeve nov 18. I've completed everything. Start my pre op diet Tuesday and waiting on insurance approval!!! I currently weigh 240. Would love to get back down to 120!

@@nmsugirl06 it's just around the corner, emotion must be running wild right now????

Sadly my dr. Gave me all the wrong insurance info for my policy, I have to wait 5 months I'm so sad :(

Kay wolf how are you feeling?

I am doing fine. Walking 2-3 miles a day and happily enjoying my soft diet.

I'm we over 5'. 5'1". Your blog here is supportive. May I join the conversation? I'm 16 months out from sleeve. Lost 80 down to 145. I'm 52 yrs. dr says to get to 135 then I have 10-15 pounds of old skin that won't go away unless surgery. I have been lazy about exercise, water, protein, vits and it is catching up. All my bloodwork is fine. I have maintained for 4 months need to get serious and remember I'm not at goal yet and get moving.

Sadly my dr. Gave me all the wrong insurance info for my policy, I have to wait 5 months I'm so sad :(

Are you serious? That's horrible. I'm so sorry

Nmsugirl... So sorry about the delay. Stay active on the forums and begin an exercise routine if you haven't... Clean out a couple of cupboards for your foods, make a list of all the bad trigger foods that set you off on an eating spree... Make the time count. Really you can stay motivated and excited if you stay mentally involved. I had to do a 6 month pre op and it flew by. Really.

I'm def trying to stay focused. When I got the call from the insurance I wanted to regress back to my old ways and have a soda!! (Soda is my weakness) but I didn't I drank a liter of ice water and cried. I'm still really proud I've been keeping focused<3

I am 5' even. I should be done with everything and ready for submission to the insurance company by Dec 5th!! I'm hoping to have my surgery the last week of January! A girl can hope right ???? I'm excited about it! And it's good to know I'm not the only shortie going through this. Most of the people I've talked to who have had it are 5'5" or taller

I'm 4'11", but I always say I am 5'. I was sleeved close to 8 weeks ago and have lost about 25 pounds (I don't closely track it). I'm walking, but have not made it to the gym yet. Good luck, everyone!

I am 4'10 starting weight was 293 surgery weight was 281on Oct 9th Todays weight is 263 It is coming off slow, but it is coming off. Of course, I wanted to wake up in recovery 135. hah. I will be 60 in July booked a 10 day cruise to Mexico for Sept to Celebrate bday and 1 yr weight loss. My goal for sept cruise is 150.
