Banded for two days now!

I'm on the other side woo!! The last two days were pretty hard, I have not had anything to drink besides a few drops of juice which was very painful. This is because there was a minor complication during surgery that left the band site exceptionally swollen, they tell me tomorrow should be a lot better.. We shall see. Watching tv in my hospital room has been a nice little vacation, especially with all these meds :P

I'll post again with an update soon.

I had my surgery this morning and starving on the water day and looking forward to having some juice tomorrow, hope that goes ok.

Welcome newbies to the other side! Good things happen, just be patient...

HUGS!

Hope you are feeling better soon! I had a difficult time for about 5 days after my surgery due to swelling but it got much better very quickly after that.

Congratulations Bandsters!

Hang in there. I am six days out and off pain medication for 3 days and am very pleased. The soups and shakes are getting boring so I am looking forward to being able to eat real food again.

I assume you're getting fluids intravenously so you're not really dehydrating?

Update: I managed to get a glass of water down with no problem. If I can keep juice and beef broth down then they will release me today. Yes 2muchfun I was on IV fluids along with some anti-inflammatories for my stomach. Time for my juice and skim milk! Wish me luck.
