Skinny comments

I have such a hard time when someone says I'm skinny! I will never see myself that way and don't consider 197 pounds anywhere close to being skinny. Just wish people would keep those comments to theirselves. Most days I look in the mirror and still see a 297 pound woman!

Just say "thanks, I am working on it"

It IS STRANGE when you start hearing that! It's stranger when you start hearing it from strangers and folks who didn't know you pre-WLS because you know it's not just about their perspective you of you then vs now, but honestly how they see you with no preconceptions! How ever it comes, take it as a compliment! Someone noticed your work! Perhaps you inspired them! Hang on to that and use it to maintain your motivation because the comments do slow down at some point.

Just say "thanks, I am working on it"

That's what I do.

Compliments are nice, but with me it seems like everyone noticed at the same time. If I haven't seen someone all summer, they are shocked when they see me. It's only 40+ lbs! I have to lose that much more - That's what I think anyway.

As long as they don't say too skinny (I am actually still overweight on the BMI chart by a few pound) I love it!

my hubs cant keep his hands off of me, (bless his heart) lol...he tells me everyday. I said something the other day to a gf Of mine I told her my pants are falling off an I need to get another one to hld me thru the next size, she said thats a good thing Di! I said yea your soo right! shed been working harder on herself to. take the compliments! we have worked hard for them! stand straight an be proud :)
