Surgery is in FIVE days! :-)

I'm excited to share that my surgery is just five days away! I started considering the surgery in January when my family doc recommended that I look into it. I've tried just about every diet out there and have had NO long-term success. I've been through all of the pre-op tests and requirements and my insurance company has deemed it medically necessary and will pay 100% for the surgery and doc. I'm getting very excited about it, although I have to admit that I'm also nervous.

Everything is all set, all I have to do is continue following the pre-surgery diet and head to the hospital on the morning of surgery.

Hoping for the best. :)

WOW! Tomorrow is the BIG day! I'm getting really excited! My excitement actually outweighs my nervousness. Today is a Clear liquids day, and Jello if I need something else to curb the hunger. The surgery should be over by this time tomorrow. Trying to think of everything I need to take to the hospital with me .... pulling things together for the hospital and getting the house in order will help with the few nerves I'm having. :-)

Wow! That's awesome news! Think positive, pray a little, and you will be fine. I wish for the best. :-)

Good luck tomorrow. My surgery is Thursday. I am excited about getting on with this so that I can start living my life.

Hi all, I had surgery on Tuesday morning and everything went very well. The surgeon was very happy with how surgery went. I'm still sore and moving slowly, but each day gets better. I'm having a bit of trouble getting in the Water and Protein shakes as directed by the doc because it feels so strange and I feel full so quickly. I'm hoping all of that will settle down over the next couple of days. I think part of it is just my wacky nerves, as when my nerves are on overload I have a hard time swallowing food/drink, so hopefully all of that will settle down soon. Looking forward to being healed and getting on with this process of losing weight and getting healthier! :-)

Congratulations!!! You are on your way!
