Tomorrow is the big day!

In twelve hours from now I will be having my first surgery ever!! I'm not nervous about recovery but being put to sleep and getting a catheter is nerve racking! Plus, I'm on my period :/ I'm so thankful for all the stories I've read to prepare myself and look forward to being on the losers bench :)

  • Catheter truthfully is no big deal to have. They most likely will only leave it in until the day after surgery so you don't have to worry about getting up unless you feel good enough to the first day

  • Good luck everyone. Prayers and good thoughts your way! Mamie60

I'm getting sleeved on Tuesday, I'm on my period too! Ugh. Like I needed an extra reason to be cranky other than 3 days on clear liquids. Lol

Good luck!! Catheter won't be as bad as you think, I had those with my c-sections. It doesn't hurt, just feels weird, but that's only when they are taking it out, while it's in place you won't feel it at all. :-)

Good luck ALL.

I am right behind you guys (next Monday).

I wish you all the best!

See all you losers later :-)

Catheter truthfully is no big deal to have.

They most likely will only leave it in until the day after surgery so you don't have to worry about getting up unless you feel good enough to the first day and not groggy.

Them putting you out is one minute your alert and next asleep. It goes very quickly and you be awake again in recovery then to your room.

I know this because I've been under a few times for different surgeries.

Try get some rest tonight and try not to think to much about it.

Good luck tomorrow and when you feel up to it let us know how things went for you.

Take care.

I had surgery on Thursday the 10th and home Saturdsy, cathera came out Friday and drainage tube yesterday, feeling preetty good but . good luck yo you all.

Good luck everyone. Prayers and good thoughts your way! Mamie60

Good luck to everybody! I go on the 21st to find out my surgery date and am pretty nervous about the surgery. It has taken me a year and a half to get to this point. I at least getting there.

Good luck everyone! I hope you all have smooth surgeries with no complications and a speedy recovery. Keep us posted!!

Thank u ladies... I'm on my way to pre op now ;)

Hi all, today I am 5 days post op and doing great, had no gas or nausea in hospital or since I have been home. Tummy and stomach pain but that is me recoverying. I am really focusing on getting loquids and protiens in and going ok. Stomach gets upset some times but think this is drinking to much at one time or to fast (still learning). Making smoothies with my protien dri today had some refriend Beans and cheese from Taco Bell about 2 ounces. I beleive this is sooner then should but really wanted something with some texture, and so far so good, tummy gurgling a little but think all ok.

Sotabee...

So happy everything went smooth.

Just gotta say ....Really 5 days out and Taco Bell??? YIKES!!!!

Are you still feeling good?

Continue the good work.

I am 7 days post op and I and still sipping water, Popsicles and protein shakes. Tomorrow I get my drain out and maybe advance to puréed .
