  1. I had many times after surgery when I had to go out to eat with my husband. I always made sure that I had some crochet project along or my kindle. It wasn't easy, but I felt somewhat empowered after getting through it. I'm 2 months out now, so I can now try eating a salad or some other healthy dish. Keep trying, it gets easier!
  2. Has anyone tried broccoli in the regular phase of diet after Gastric Bypass? I had a lot of trouble for 2 days after.
  3. Hi my name is Susan and I had gastric bypass on July 14. I live in Trabuco Canyon and would love to join this group.
  4. I'm having surgery tomorrow too!!!! Good luck to you.
  5. Dr. Braverman and Dr. Quebbemann are doing my gastric bypass tomorrow. I feel totally confident with both surgeons. I know that I'm in good hands. Can't wait to get thru the surgery.
  6. I'm going on July 14th. Just started the liquid pre-op diet 3 days now. It's not that bad - I feel like I'm drinking all the time! I haven't been terribly hungry either. Tonight I even went to Claim Jumper with my husband and watched him eat while I sipped iced tea. I feel so empowered!!! Good luck all July surgery pals!!!
  7. I started my liquid diet today. It wasn't bad....except I developed a bad headache this afternoon. I checked my blood sugar and it was fine. Took a couple of Tylenol and took a nap. Felt much better when I woke up. Hope you do well!!!
  8. I've had low potassium for many years. I take a prescription called Klor-Con twice a day.
  9. I'm having mine in Orange County Calif. Just had the last of my tests today - cardiac ultrasound. Next week I do the last appt before surgery with the surgeon, the internist, and the nutritionist. I can't believe the amount of testing they do beforehand. I think they have done an ultrasound of everything on my body!
  10. I hope your surgery goes well. My date is July 14. I'm starting to get a little nervous about complications, etc.
