I had the same thoughts, but I came to the conclusion that the easy way out is to stay fat, and I was tired of that option. I've only been sleeved for 2.5 weeks, but I do not regret it at all!
I just wanted to say that I had a VSG in July with Dr. Elias Ortiz. It was great! I felt very comfortable with all staff and doctors. I was taken very well care of medically and personally!
I'm using Dr. Elias Ortiz in Tijuana, my surgery is Tuesday July 14th, so I'll keep you posted. He came recommended from 3 people I know in my city.
$4400 for VGS, and an extra $350 to have my gall bladder out at the same time.
I'm getting sleeved on Tuesday, I'm on my period too! Ugh. Like I needed an extra reason to be cranky other than 3 days on clear liquids. Lol
Good luck!! Catheter won't be as bad as you think, I had those with my c-sections. It doesn't hurt, just feels weird, but that's only when they are taking it out, while it's in place you won't feel it at all. :-)
I'm scheduled for July 15th with Dr. Elias Ortiz in Mexico. I'm getting so excited, with a little bit of nervousness! Did anyone have their gall bladder removed? I had a gall stone attack once when I was 7 months pregnant, and that is one of life's little surprises I'd rather not experience again. lol
