JULY 2014 SLEEVERS GROUP

  • Popular Post

Hey folks. I was looking to set up a thread for July 2014 sleevers. I believe the other threads were originally back in 2013.

I just had my surgery on July 2. I'm SO glad I did this. My breaking point was being diagnosed with high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and a host of other problems. I put on another 30 pounds from October to February of this year. I was a good 185 and quit smoking. I ballooned up to 305. I'm self pay and I got to 278 during my pre-surgery.

Since the surgery, I don't think I've been hungry, but I'm still dealing with the healing process. My first postop is Thursday. My only complaint is the low energy level. I knew it was coming, but wow.

I'd like to hear from those who started their life change this month. I am also hoping this can be a thread we can keep tabs on each other, as well as provide motivation when we need it

I should be having my surgery in about an hour. I know the next few days/months will be tough, but I'm still excited.

Good luck ladylee823! My advice is even if you don't feel like it, walk as much as possible in the hospital. It will make pain management so much easier

Congratulations! It will be a little rough at first, but the best advice you could get would be to walk ASAP. It helped my recovery a lot I believe.

I got sleeved on june 30 and everything went exceptionally well. Was off pain. Meds a couple hours after surgery. Walked 1/4 mile every 4 hours in the hospital. Was back to the gym 2 days after surgery. I thankfully wasn't effected by lack of energy. In fact now that im 4 weeks post op I feel more tired. 2 weeks post op I was down 12 pounds. I was back to work a week and a half after surgery. I'm afraid I'm not losing weight though. And some days it's hard keeping food down.

I had my Surgery on Jul 18th. Lost only 10 pounds since Post Op. The scale is stuck for the past three days.

Ok help! ! Had surgery yesterday am. Gas pain is sooo bad. & 1oz water hurts going down. Normal help how long will this last?

Walk walk walk,,.. and make those sips tiny tiny... I could only wet my tounge and drip down for almost half day... it will get there...but every drip counts!

Ask your doc about Gas X strips.

Try drinking warm or room temp water/fluids it may go down easier.

Do they have strips for the reflux ive been having real bad reflux I've so weak and tired I haven't even been able to get on my phone I mean so weak and of course my doc needs to reschedule my first post op and I need help I'm having a hard time getting and keeping anything down

I get it at target. 1.7 pound container is $20 and usually on sale. I tried eas and unjury and couldn't get past the smell let alone the taste.

OK where do I get that I haven't had any shakes or anything cause it makes me sick

Must tell you that Isopure has the nick name of ISOPUKE... jus sayin'... IT is at GNC.

Thank you! where do I get isopure from and do it have a smell cause that's one of the problems I've been having is says its unflavored and then it taste like crap and smells like crap

For reflux... the only thing that helped me is Prilosec ... It comes in a capsule... I emptied the insides in my juice.

The story I was told.... Your tummy is confused it is still making enough acid for the big tummy....

I took 2 a day.
