I never have a problem, since I'm a natural carnivore. Meat is my favorite food anyway. That and cheese.

  • This may be unpopular, but I believe Americans are overly-obsessed with Protein. My goal is to eat protein first, then the veggies, etc., but I don't have a goal for getting a specific number of gram

i make sure every meal i have protein, and eat that first before i touch anything else. if i'm full off the protein portion, i'm fine with that.

I'm right there with you! Which is why low-carb diets were always my go-to for weight loss. haha

I guess I just need to be more diligent about adding protein supplements of some kind into my diet. I got my goal yesterday but I also had 2 protein shakes (I was on liquids from a fill on Wednesday). Thankfully, my fitness pal tracks protein now so that should be helpful for me :)

Having just said that, I do jack up the protein in my Greek yogurt by adding a tablespoon of collagen, which I'm taking for arthritis. This adds 6 grams to the Greek yogurt for a total of 18. It is tasteless but thickens it up a little more, then I add a few nuts and tablespoon or so of gluten-free Cereal of some kind. This makes the yogurt not be a slider for me and I enjoy all that texture, the chewing slow, etc. so the message for satiety passes between the esophagus and brain.
