Swelling day 7

I'm 7 days post band op. First day back at work and my largest incision is swollen and tender. Is this normal to due my enhanced activity (kindergarten teacher)? I'm due to go back to dr wed. Should I be worried? Should I apply heat? Ice???

Mine was swollen for a couple of weeks. I would just double check with your doctor about your concern. I did not use ice or anything, just tried to avoid hitting that section. Good luck.

I like ice for inflammation -- and I was quite swollen for a while, especially at port site. Am a retention type, arthritis profile, etc. Good luck to you and congratulations on the surgery!
