Glad everything went well. Have u had ur swallow test and been able to drink yet and if so how did that go?

. Not yet. Upper gi scheduled but not sure what time! Hope it goes well so thirsty!

Good luck to all you April 9 sleevers! I'm getting excited for April 14.....got call my surgery is at 1240pm....gonna be rough with nothing by mouth. But after these last 2 wks of preop that will b a cakewalk. My big concern is pain management after surgery and the drain!

Did the upper Gi/ swallow test. It went well- no leaks. The stuff they make u swallow is Nasty. I threw up after. They brought me broth, jello and crystal light. The broth I could get down but felt every bit of it go in my swollen stomach. Ouch!! I took small sips from a baby spoon. The rest was too sweet so just doing ice chips.

Hello

I was told they try to vacuum out as much air as they can out of your stomach. Cause they put air into to see where to staple along. Is this correct? Do all surgeons vacuum the air out? Hmmm Just some things I don't know.

on my way!! So nervous! Prayers and good vibes please!!!

Good luck to you and your new life

They blow the stomach up for ease of access to organs, but once you wake up, your stomach is not swollen with gas. My surgeon said he gets out as much as possible, but that it travels. Also, he said, the gas is in body cavities, so gas x won't help. Walk!
