They blow the stomach up for ease of access to organs, but once you wake up, your stomach is not swollen with gas. My surgeon said he gets out as much as possible, but that it travels. Also, he said, the gas is in body cavities, so gas x won't help. Walk!

From the gas. Now it's in quadrants and starting to come out by burps and the other way. The doc said I would feel fantastic once it's out. Right now just trying to sip- everything tastes terrible!!

    Thank you - I'm well on the mend - I'm doing great by now. I'm even sleeping on my left side now.. I will start puréed foods on Wed. How are you?
