  13. Well done to you Nancy, you are so honest, everything you are saying goes through my head too. I'm still pre-op, with a date of 13th May, so, on the milk diet. I am only on day three of fourteen, but am inspired by your frankness. Keep posting
  14. Had the phone call this morning, with a provisional date of the 13th May, also said I need an appointment to get bloods done. After the shock, I thought about my appointment on this Friday, with the anaesthetist, maybe I could have my tests done on the same day? Long story short, the hospital phoned me back and yes, but I also have to have an ECG. The secretary then stated that it was all down to the anaesthetist as to if I can have the procedure or not !!! So I guess it's reasonable to say that I'm going from happy and excited to anxiety. Pleased really that I've got a couple of days to get used to the idea ????????????
  15. You both look really good. Looks like you feel it too
  16. What a lovely photograph. I too am pre op, but isn't it wonderful to see all the pictures, what inspiration are they? When it's you turn I hope you'll be posting. I think I may too. Good luck in you journey.
  17. Hi Nancy I've been following your progress for a while now. I find strength in your journey. Also I am understanding my overeating as a way of coping with being abused physically by my mother as a child. I too was not allowed to show emotions, as this would lead to further beatings, and verbal abuse. I learned to clean, tidy up, iron and cook as a young child to help stop abuse, keeping my mother happy. I too am taller than average, although not as tall as you, and of course I'm on the very large side!!! I also do not like standing out. I find comfort in your words. Thank you
