Do You mind sharing what protein shake that is..... That has been the hardest part for me can't find one descent enough to tolerate ugh !!!! And I'm usually not that picky .

April 9th and very nervous, only two day of liquid preop.

For those of you asking about the protein shakes, my favorite so far has been the Premier Protein. They have 30 g of protein and only 3 carbs. The chocolate is really good (for a shake). I've heard others like the vanilla but it was really super sweet to me and I didn't like it. I bet it would be good with some strawberries in it....but I can't have them on pre-op diet so saving those shakes until later. They also have a strawberry flavor that I haven't tried yet. You can get them at Costco or Sam's Club. But make sure you read the labels. They sell one that has 15 g protein and the one I get is 30 g. I figure you should go with the higher protein since that's the ultimate goal, right? My date is the 16th. I think I said that earlier on here, but there are a couple of April postings so I can't remember. Anyways, good luck to all and keep us posted!!!

I used the premier chocolate shakes from costco. Put it on ice and shake so you don't get the aftertaste.

From Torani website...

SKINNY VANILLA Protein shake

1 Tbsp. Torani sugar free Vanilla Syrup

1 cup nonfat milk

1 scoop vanilla Protein powder

1 cup ice

Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth.

I can't believe the 9th is tomorrow!! I'm running around like crazy trying to get everything taken care of at work and at home before tomorrow. My check in is 6:30am and my surgery is scheduled for 9:30. Good luck to all of the other April 9th sleevers! If anyone wants to be a texting buddy over the next couple of days, message me.

I second that April 9th sleevers! Good luck and feel free to pm me ur phone number so we can text!!! I'm checking in at 8am and being sleeved at 10am!!! Soooo many emotions!!

I am now 4 days post-op! All of the days on the pre-op diet where you just wanted to pull your hair out are so worth it! I lost 18 pounds during those two weeks. I was a nervous wreck the night before surgery wondering "Did I make the right decision?" , "Did my liver shrink enough"? so many thought's...But the morning of surgery when I was being prepped I felt a wave of calm come over me (and that was before the nighttime juice lol) My doctor and the rest of the staff were so wonderful and kind and also put my fiancé at ease. Now things are moving along and it's weird not to be hungry! I feel like I am on an episode of the Twilight Zone. You all are going to do so great and I look forward to following your journey's. All the hard work and effort are going to pay off and we are all going to enjoy our new fit and healthy selves!

That's just what we needed to hear! Are you started to feel normal again?

Yay!!! How exciting and VERY encouraging!!! How's your pain levels?

I think we should do a group text for those of us going tomorrow so we can all chat together. Cannot believe it is tomorrow! I feel like I have a billion things to do today. So anxious, nervous, and excited.
