  • Yes I am on liquid only diet, I can't seem to keep anything except water down. I did just call my doctor so hopefully it will get resolved today. Thank you.

  • Contact your surgeon. You need to eliminate the possibility of a stricture. Vomiting 8 days post op is not normal and can impede your healing. Are you on a liquid only diet?

I would be seeing a doctor fast if I was vomiting 8 days.

Good job. Let us know. We all learn from others' experiences. Linda

I would check with my doc. But you might examine how much you are trying to drink. Even at day 8, I wasn't able to eat more than 1/2 of a sugar free popsicle a day. I could drink all the Crystal Light I wanted, but anything thicker would cause my stomach to seize up.

Sending healing prayers your way! Remember throwing up and being dehydrated is very dangerous, so please stay healthy!

Anything thicker than water or crystal light is to much for me too! I feel okay when stick to clears so I'm just going to do that. I have an appt at 215 to make sure I'm not dehydrated too. Each day is a litter better with everything besides this vomiting.

It is believed that I have developed lactose intolerance. I have been downgraded to clear liquids, non creamy broths, jello and stuff like that and so far so good. I will have to come up with a new plan for protein shakes tho. Any good flavor free protein powders?

Isopure? I don't like them but they kept bringing them to me in the hospital. You might see if they have any lactose in them.

You could make your protein shakes with Almond Milk. That's what I make mine with and it actually tastes better too.
