Tattoos after surgery and weight loss

Good Morning Everyone!

I was wondering what everyone's experiences have been with tattoos after surgery? Will they shrink or distort? I have several and this thought just popped into my head last night.

My SO has two full sleeves of tattoos and lost 130 pounds. They still look good. Probably depends on where you have them and where the weight comes off.

  • Mine is on my ankle..so I am pretty sure it will stay looking the same....but good question for those who might have one on the stomach or something.

I have four tattoos, three on my ankles and one on my wrist. I'm not too worried about the ankles, and I DOUBT I'll really shrink on my wrist...but the wrist one is my daughters name as a heart and it will look pretty funky if it distorts, lol!! I guess I'll be waiting until well after surger before getting any other tattoos!! ;)
