Newbie

Hi all. I'm new to the Forum and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jacki and my surgery is scheduled for February 6th! I'm both excited and nervous. While I will welcome the weight loss my main reason for the surgery is for health reasons. I'm 53, diabetic, have had a heart attack and have high blood pressure I'm hoping to eliminate some, if not all of these issues. I welcome getting to know you and hear of your journey.

Welcome and congratulations on starting your journey...

Welcome,

I wish you the best with your surgery and recovery. It's a big step but one that will hopefully lead to better health and happiness. I know I'm glad I did it. I was so forunate as to not have co-morbidities but I had to have the surgery to be able to move without being in terrible pain.

Blessings,

Kathleen

Hi Jackie,

Welcome. If you are at all like me you will find a wealth of information and support on this site. It has been a lifesaver for me. Surgery can never be easy but it has been so worth it. I discovered I had severe sleep apnea during the pre testing and I know I had borderline high cholesterol. I am looking forward to my next annual check-up and hopefully seeing a big cholesterol change. Besides the medical, the healthy weight loss has improved my life in so many ways. I wish you the best of luck.

Welcome, and know that we are with you.

Welcome!

Congrats on your date - it's right around the corner, isn't it!?!?
