Pre Op Nausea

I'm in my 9th day of pre op consisting of Protein shakes and broth. After the first couple of days I have actually done Ok with it. Until today. I woke up feeling sick to my stomach and I have felt sick to my stomach all day. It is sometimes better than others but has not gone away all day. Has anyone else experienced this and if so how long does it last?

Dairy sensitivity? Or maybe just coincidental, a little bug going around? Hope you feel better today!

My docs also had use benefiber everyday and take two Calcium Tums twice a day. that probably helped with nausea. I'm kinda feeling the same thing right now. I'm on full liquid diet till xmas day and I'm not lovin it. Sick of it. Nothing sounds good. But I'm gonna stick with it and do what the doc says.

So.. maybe try some tums everyday to calm your tummy.

I really appreciate the replies and advice. I figured out that my blood sugar was dipping too low. I take 2 metformin morning and night so I have cut it down to 1 today and feel so much better. My blood sugars are still low but not low enough to make me sick. I may have to cut them down further if they dip low again like that though. I think my body must have run through my glucose reserves after 10 days on protein drinks and broth. That is a horrible feeling I hope to avoid it again.
