My Intro

Hello everyone, I received my band 12/4 and into my thick fluid phase. My pain has diminished and am looking fwd to pureed foods! My only concern is that I am not consuming as much water as needed. I wanted to join a blog where I can meet folks going through the same thing.

Welcome and I'm so glad you are feeling better! I actually struggled with the water thing until recently. It really took me about 3 months to figure it out. I had a hard time not drinking an hour before eating then an hour after eating and then it's time to eat again - lol. So I try to get a lot of water in - in the morning and then later in the evenings. I also sip water all day.

Hi there, glad you found the site! I've learned a lot here from lots of amazing people and fun, too -- I'm almost six weeks banded now and I'm sooooooo happy with my new life.

For hydration I fill up 32oz. glass juice bottles nearly to the top with Water then add a splash of unsweetened cranberry -- makes a nice light pink drink. If I need sweet I put in a little Steevia (I can't tolerate artificial sweeteners -- this one is a plant) and I also add a few capfuls of aloe for better digestion. This is my signature drink and when I open the fridge the bottles are there waiting. I like to drink one after exercising -- am tighter in the mornings so I can't chug it down like I used to -- and I like it around five o'clock when my brain thinks it's time for the old wine and cheese party.

This site is awesome, I love hearing everyones advice and I learning from everyones experiences. I was wondering which sugar to now use and may have give that one a try. Aloe is new, did you have a lot of refux problems or just an upset stomach?
