I am 20 days post op, I feel fabulous !! I am down 28 pounds. This was the best decision I ever made for myself ! HW/SW 278, current is 250.

  • Oops, I meant Myfitnesspal! I don't want any money from you

  • Hi, glad you're doing well :-) my surgery was Nov 6, first week was pretty rough but feeling so much better now, still struggling with low energy and not getting enough calories/protein but working on

Also CARBMASTER yogurt at Krogers is very tasty and within our guidelines for fats and sugars :-). ( no I don't own stock there...lol )

Anyone know when we can start exercising? I've been walking 2 miles a day but anxious to know when I can start getting on the elliptical and starting to jog.

My surgeon does not restrict exercising at all from day #1....Considers it as important as protein and liquids!

I had my surgery 11/15/13. I lost 23 pds the first 10 days. I am now on soft foods but I haven't lost anything for almost a week. I started walking yesterday. Is this normal???? Feeling discouraged. I also have PCOS and have had s heavy cycle for 2 weeks. Is this normal ; (

Hi all..sorry this is TMI but I'm still on full liquid diet and I'm 2 wks post op..i haven't pooped in 9 days:( is this normal on full liquids? My doctor told me to take miralax and I'm thinking I might try it today! Starting to worry now that I should be going to the bathroom by now! Anyone have any advice?

It's more than normal. I didn't go for 4 days after then I did for a few days, then I didn't. I'm 11 days post op. My dr said if it becomes a problem, to sip a little prune juice. Make sure it's 100% juice no sugar added. I have it in my fridge and haven't used it yet however, I'd take juice over powders or pills any day! Hope that helps! Also I know that for me, getting up and moving/drinking lots of water really helps.

I was banded on Nov 7th and i have only lost 5 pounds ! I want to cry everday. Whats worse is everyone keeos looking at me and wondering why im not losing. Just had my first fill and still NO RESTRICTION! Im at 4ccs. Everytime i think about it i want to cry.

being a former band patient I can tell ya the first couple months aren't great....it gets better for most people though! Hang in there :). Try the lapband boards and look or bandster hell....you're right in the middle of it! Keep your chin up!!!

Thanks. I definitely feel alone. Hearing everyone talk about losing 20 plus pounds and a few weeks out makes me happy and sad. I feel like such a loser. I hate pity parties but I thought the fill would make it better and it did NOTHING! The office said i can only come once a month. Is that their rule or the insurance?

likely that's their rule, my doc would only fill once a month as well. I thought I starve to death the first 2.5 months.

Probably a dumb question but what is a "fill"?

Ohh. I may be in wrong forum, I had bypass.
