5 days Post OP - sad, depressed

I'm 5 days post Op, I can barely get anything down, I have all these premier protein drinks I cant drink, I have gas pain and can't fart and My husband keeps eating the things I like In front of me.

I just want a small bowl of Lucky Charms mannnnnn. This is Hell, it's a absolutely terrible experience and I wish I never got this stupid sleeve.

Do some walking too. Doc said best thing for GAS is walking...

I'm five days also. I can get everything down okay. The pain subsided substantially over the days...I walked a lot...close to 3miles yesterday. I'm hungry though...ready for purée. Look at it like this come June you'll be shopping for bathing suits! Sn, sneezing sucks!

One more thing, we made the decision to improve our lives thru VSG. Our spouses did not make this commitment. They love us but we've got to love ourselves enough to be true to ourselves and have the courage of our convictions. Simply put this is our fight! They will cheer us on from time to time. We will pause and appreciate it but that is not our motivation. A healthy life is our motivation. ( preaching to myself here )

I'm only 4days post-op...comparing what I've been through the pre-op. Post is alot better. Let me give you an overview: 1)my 14 day liquid fast was extended to 17 b/c i was still waiting on insurance approval. 2)My family decides going to the state fair my husband ate a pork chop sandwich, my son a mega corndog. As for me...one pickle. 3) The next day was at a parade and homecoming football game... i had to be careful with the diet shakes...the next bathroom was 3 blocks away

I'm still blessed and wasn't draw to temptation. Please hang in there we will be happy in long run.

I sometimes look at the number of pills my husband comsume compared to me and Vitamins ....i love what I'm doing....take care..

That 1st week is REALLY hard!! It gets better trust us. My best advice don't worry about your protein for a little while just sip and get your fluids in . Prayers!
