On Monthversary

Yeah, today is my fist month, and it seems far away, I already forgot the pain, the discomfort and the constipation I had that first day. Went to my Cardiologist today and I am off my bp medication for good! Went to my Gastroenterologist and I am clear to do my schedule colonoscopy. Went to do my hair, feel and look gorgeous! All is well in my world. Peace, love, prosperity and harmony!

Hippie! Such good news -- thanks for sharing. I am 11 days pre-op and this is so inspiring. Can't wait to be a month out! Best wishes to you.......

Whoops, that is Yippie!, not hippie. iPad helping me, not.

I am having my monthaversary next week, and yes, I've 99% forgotten the pain (still feel the portal ouch a bit when I'm on my side in bed) and I'm still learning to eat slowly. I can eat just about anything, and slowing down is a tough thing to learn. I've felt stuck a couple times, but it was just momentary. The goal I am really working on is getting enough liquids in. Tough for me. Protein is a breeze for me. I will get a fill on the 5th, I wonder what that will be like.

Congrats on getting off the meds!! Major victory there!
