I sipped, sipped, sipped all day/evening long. I never had a problem getting my fluids in either. I could not gulp but I did sip a heck of a lot !!!

My doc told me his rule of thumb is trial and error. If you can tolerate it then you're fine. If you can drink that much and it doesn't hurt then that's awesome, keep it up because dehydration is bad.

I had my surgery yesterday and passed my leak test this morning. They gave me the okay to start drinking Water around 5 hours ago. I slept about 3 of those five hours, but the other 2 of those, I've drank 30 oz of water! Is it normal to be able to drink that much in a short period of time? I was under the impression I'd only be able to drink maybe 2 oz at a time. Should I try to slow down even though it hasn't been painful? At this rate, it will be beyond easy to get the full 64 oz each day, but I've noticed a lot of others having difficulty getting it all down
