Puree Ideas Please!

Hey Everyone!

I get to start purée on Monday and I am soo excited to have real food even if it is mushy! Haha I was hoping for some ideas of foods that are good to purée, I feel like the texture will freak me out a little bit so hoping for something yummy if possible! Any ideas would help! Thank you!

I am about half way thru puree stage. Not being very adventurous cuz I don't like the idea of eating mushy food. I like fat-free refried beans pureed w/chix broth, add salsa juice or taco sauce and fat-free sour cream. Another fav is healthy choice cream of chicken soup, chix broth, unflavored protein powder. This week I added some mashed potatoes and it tasted better, more like a meal. Other than that I rely on key lime greek yogurt or soft scrambled egg.

I loved the refried beans too! I also did a baked ricotta with spaghetti sauce on top and some cheese. Mmm mmm good. Makes me want some now and I'm almost 6 months post op!

I make a minestrone soup. Purée it and love how the flavor is concentrated. I am thinking of adding a scoop of unjury unflavored protein to it next time.

I pureed the minestrone soup too. It was so good. I also put a frozen chunk of stoufers lasagna in a blender, added spinach leaves and a LITTLE water. It looked nasty but it tasted like LASAGNA!!!!

I cooked up an oz of chicken and added some buffalo sauce to it, put it in my chopper and added some ff blue cheese dressing to the top - yummy, low cal, good protein!
