First appointment tomorrow!

I got my first appointment! It's for a psych evaluation. What should I expect? I'm so nervous but excited to get the ball moving.

It feels good to be making progress on this journey, doesn't it? Don't stress the psych evaluation. Mine was very simple. I filled out a short questionnaire and then talked to the doctor for about 20 minutes about my health history (physical and mental). It really isn't as scary as it sounds! Just try to enjoy the conversation and the focus on your path to WLS and ultimately, a healthier body.

Okay, that's good to know. I'll try not to be too nervous then....

Thanks :)^_^

My psych evaluation was like 300 questions! Weird ones too! I think they just are trying to get a good look at your habits and whatnot. It's nothing too serious though, don't worry. Good luck!

I had mine yesterday, it was mostly just a pleasant conversation touching on my stressors and how I react to them.

I had my psych eval today. They said to be prepared to stay 2 1/2 hours & they were right on! I had to answer a scan tron test of 567 true or false questions, some made me laugh out loud. Had my interview with the Dr. We actually got into more than I had expected about my personal life & stressors. She said it will take 2 weeks to get the results from the test. Oh an another opinion test on weight & body image but not near as long as the first one.
