  1. So happy for you! I'll be saving you a seat on the losers bench!
  2. So happy for you! Here's to a speedy recovery!
  3. I was bad. My husband had eggs for dinner and they smelled so good, I stole a bite of his egg...mostly yoke. I'm just so tired of broth!
  4. Congrats! Saving you a seat!
  5. Just know we are here to help. Sometimes just knowing that others have experienced some of these things help.
  6. So glad I'm not alone. We will get through this!
  7. Really glad it's not just me. Thank you for the support. We will get through this!
  8. Yes. I posted about that in another thread this morning. I am just one week post op and not all that angry, but crying a lot...over really stupid things! Get well cards, food, my husband eating real food (okay, that one kinda makes me want to punch him) but you get the idea. Even when I do get angry, I just want to cry.
  9. I have a "horror story" someone shared with m when I told her I was having my surgery. Okay, more like a single sentence, " I hear it makes you crap your pants." I didn't let her scare me. I had it done on 10/28/2013. Just thought I'd add my true story to the mix.
  10. My inner two year old is having tantrums and turning me into a wreck. I'm only one week post op and thought I was really prepared for this emotionally, boy was I naive! I just want to nibble something savory and the thought of Jello or popsicles make me want to punch someone. I dreamed about refried Beans last night and seeing my husband eat his Breakfast of eggs and biscuits and gravy sent me to the other room with chicken broth and tears in my eyes. Why did I have to let myself get into the position where surgery was the smartest option? I'm sorry, I just needed to vent my tantrum. Carry on.
  11. You'd be surprised how blunt honesty works with teenagers.
  12. You may want to pick up samples of different kinds of Protein to see what you are able to tolerate. Good luck!
  13. Good luck! I'm saving a seat for you on the losers bench! Mine was this morning and I feel pretty good!
  14. Surgery went well! I'm in a room thinking about a nap.
  15. I'm sorry. That was an unfair statement. Furtherance apologized for posting on the wrong thread...twice. They have always been supportive and frank to me and are to most people on here. This is not a site to degrade others so please be kind.
