Good news to those of you feeling exhausted! I had my surgery in June on the 19th and felt the same way! But between week 4-5 It's like I woke up and had all my energy back! I was starting to get worr

So today is 6 days post op and I have done really well with head hunger. Well today my husband made lunch for our son and himself. He made one of my favorites, pepperoni and motz sandwiched on a soft

Ugh I think I'm having the same problem as all of you. I feel sick no matter what I take in; water included. I just keep telling myself it will eventually pass. I just hate feeling carsick all the time.

I too had my RNY on the 16th what are you eating and tolerating?

I am eating scrambled egg @ grits for breakfast and for lunch and supper I have canned chicken, green beans and instant potatoes. I have sugar free pudding as a snack which goes down very well.

Hi Everyone!! I had my RNY on the 23rd revised from the lap band. The surgery took a little longer because of the scar tissue around the band. I feel pretty good and trying to get the walking in and the pain seems less with the walking. I have not had anything but clear liquids and looking forward to having the pureed foods. I made chicken today and pureed them and froze them in ice cube trays. I am making the veggies tomorrow so I have everything ready for the next step. I cant wait to have something red, that must sound weird but it seems that red is in a lot of drink mixes. I got home Friday afternoon and I have not weighed myself the doctor said that the gas and the iv would make my weight a little higher so I will wait until my first pre-op on Friday. I can't wait to sleep on my stomach again..... :)

I was wondering if anyone has been experiencing any Hibernation Syndrome symptoms? I am 4 weeks post op tomorrow and I am exhausted. Eating is going great, weight loss has been amazing and no pain BUT I am so tired all the time. I am consuming between 500-800 calories a day, getting all my fluids and protein. Oh and all my vitamins too.

I'm only 13 days post op but I've been experiencing this too. Today wasn't as bad but the past few days I've wanted to do nothing but sleep.

I am three weeks post op and I have been sleeping a lot. Somedays, almost all day. I have no motivation to do anything. I was thinking it was depression, but I have not been crying, I just feel bleh. I went shopping yesterday with a girlfriend and had no desire to try anything on due to how tired I was.. At least I was a cheap trip!

I keep wondering if its a combination of still healing and lack of calories or if there really is something wrong with me.

It's strange how my energy level differs from day to day....

I think the lack of motivation this far out is normal because I feel it too and I'm at about three weeks post op. I have also been dealing with a lot of anxiety attacks which I thought was weird because I've never had them before. My doctor said it was all normal and to be expected with a big change like this. So the up side is we are all normal; not that that makes it any easier to deal with lol.

Good news to those of you feeling exhausted! I had my surgery in June on the 19th and felt the same way! But between week 4-5 It's like I woke up and had all my energy back! I was starting to get worried that I would feel that way forever. It was crazy! I would take a shower and try to blow dry my hair and think okay..now I need a nap! Lol. It gets better I promise!

It's so hard adjusting to eating very little then knowing when we are full. I've had two encounters with feeling over full but this morning my breakfast came back up. I had a late snack late yesterday and it seem to have stayed with me. Taking this one day at a time to learn my new pouch. I had my RNY 7/16/13

Me 2 - July 16!!!!!

I'm 6 days post op and keep feeling nauseous is there anything to help? I'm on clear liquids and take phenergan when I can't stand it but it knocks me out for hours and then I don't drink? Any suggestions? This is really bumming me out.

So I’m 2 week post op an me a purred food are not in sync with each other....Really it’s the purred meats that I’m having the most trouble with. It's like they hurt when they go down after a while... I think tonight I’m going to try a little soup with some chicken in it to maybe see how that works. Maybe it's not moist enough...Anyone else have these problems????

Hi all I am new here!! I had revision surgery from lapband to rny on July 26th!! I think I'm doing ok a little sore and the gas was terrible. I have been walking as much as possible and some of the gas has expelled but when I burp it hurts so bad in my left collarbone area...I am trying so hard to sip sip sip all day but I'm at the point now where I think I want to eat :( I'm over water and crystal light and these protein drinks are blahhh. I also take antidepressant Paxil I have been on for many years I am feeling a little bit of withdrawal from it and its scaring me....could it just be all I have gone through, the fact that I also got my period?? Sorry tmi lol idk I'm praying that I am not having a malabsorption issue with my pills ????

Eating only a couple of bites or one ounce of foods at a time has worked. I wasnt nauseas at all yesterday. Drink about 32 ounces of fluid, room temperature and a couple of sips at a time. By almost midnight, the 32 ounce container was gone!
