I've had strawberries since about 5 weeks out with no problems :-). Eat up!

I lov strawberries:)

I'm sure you're all sick of hearing from me, but my return home lasted all of 4 1/2 days. Yesterday my husband brought me back into the ER with nausea, vomiting, dizziness and a fever on top of the abdominal pain which has never really abated. So I've been readmitted at the start of a long weekend, my own surgeon is away until Tuesday and the one who is here is treating me as if I'm drug seeking rather than genuinely in screeching pain and my arms are so swollen and bruised they had a hell of a time getting an IV into me.

It has been 5 1/2 weeks since my surgery and I've lost less than 10 pounds and I'm in agony. Someone tell me this will all get better soon.

I ate strawberries at week four when o was cleared for solid foods! And I had half of a steak salad for dinner yesterday! Yum:) I had a garden salad for lunch so it appears that my pouch can tolerate salads which is refreshing :)

I understand how you feel with the slow weightloss i am going through the same thing. I was told since my body has been through major surgery and body is confused about the little amount of food I am eating its holding on temporarily to the weight. I was told this is normal and not to panic just keep focussing on my protein and water and exercise and the weight will start to come off

My surgery was 6/18. I had slow weight loss also, but it's recently picked up. I lost only 1 lb. over a period of about 18 days. I was freaked out. I have lost 9 lbs. these last 14 days, so whatever was holding me back is gone, at least for now. Stalls are normal. Hang in there!

I am 3wks n 4 days n I hit my stall. I have been stalling for 6days! Een.does it let up?? I no its normal but I don't like it..

Soorry, its suppose to say.. Wen does it let up?

Hi all! This is my first post. I had RNY on July 24, 2013 and so far I have lost 23 pounds. The only real issues I have had are I can't get the protein shakes down at all. They make me gag. I am getting in all the protein I can through food, although I think next week I should be cleared to do the protein bars. I have also had times when I was just exhausted. The past few days I have been nauseous in the mornings, so I think the pouch has apparently decided it's not a morning person. I had a stall for a week, but now I am losing again. That's my story so far. I was really glad when I found this forum - it has helped so much in making me feel there are people out here that know exactly what we are all going through.

What protein are you using? There are so many in the market and some are much better than others. I've been using Syntax Nectar, Unjury Chicken soup and premade EAS CARB ADVANTE protien shakes. If you contact the companies by email, tell them you had Bariatric surgery, most will send you free samples if their products to try. I got several this way and stocked up a couple months before surgery. I really like nectar bc it has soooo many favors and I can mix w water or milk or add fruit depending on my pouches mood. Hope this helps! Best of luck!
