6 month updates!! According to my moms scale I'm down 102lbs. :-). Guess I did good on the cruise after all. Id like to lose at least 72 more lbs but would love it to be closer to 100. At any rate; in ecstatic about my progress! How's everyone else doing out there?

    How about some NSVs!?!?

Just picked up some new clothes bc we are going to the Caribbean in a few days and I can't wear any of my old summer stuff! I got my shorts/shirts in a 1x! Down from 3 and 4xs! I also got a new swimsuit and went from a 32w to a 22w! My pants have gone from 30/32w to a 22w and could probably wear an 18! I'm flabbergasted! :-)

    Frustrated

I am on Flinstones chewable my 15yr old takes them like candy but me I dislike the taste of them, when I try taking them right away i feel nauseus just to get a little taste. Even the disolvable B6/B12 i cant tolarate the cherry taste to them anymore. I do try to stay away from my family when they r eating n they also try to eat when I am eating or after I eat so that they dont tempt me with their food n i am doing pretty good with staying strong but sometimes its just so hard on me.You could try a Bariatric Advantage chewy Vitamin or their crystal vitamins that you dissolve in fluids. There's also liquid vitamins/calcium made by Welleese. That might be easier for you. As for your B12; they also sell that in a spray or you could opt for the injection (i think its once a month) through your PCP. I don't have to she B6 so I have no suggestions for that one. Upmost, be patient and kind to yourself. This time will pass quickly and you'll be onto new stages. I will tell you I had incredible nightmares about ppl force feeding me stuff I knew I wasn't suppose to eat! I would wake in totally panic and covered on sweat. There's a lot chemically happening in your body right now and this journey is 90% psychological. You're going to get through this and love yourself for all the NSV you will achieve. Peace.

What vitamins are you taking? Why can't you take them? Is it a texture thing, so they taste bad, are you throwing them back up? I found the three weeks in was the hardest for me. You may do better of you stay away from everyone when they are eating so you don't feel so bad and tempted to eat real food. It won't be long now you'll be on more textures. Be patient w yourself. This is all new and 90% of it is psychological. Hugs!

Sweetie, we all go through it! You're not alone! Just stick to the plan. You're probably still on liquids right? Drink those protein shakes, plenty of water, sf Popsicles, decaf tea and coffee. Tell us a little more about what's going on with you. Maybe we can offer more advice or tricks to get you through this tough patch. Breath! It's going to be ok. Peace.

Congrats! That's awesome! I'm down 88lbs and trying to hit a 100 by 1/3/14. I was getting hungry about three weeks ago. Had the stomach growling and everything. So I bumped my protein up to 90-100g a day and that stops it from happening. I can't always hit that much but when i do I don't get the tummy growling thing!

    What ya eating tonight?

Went to Morton's of Chicago last night. Unfortunately, no steak (well...1 small delicious bite of hubby's :-)) but had a delicious jumbo lump crab cake that was all crab and no filler. Most importantly I had an amazing date with my hubby for the first time in a while.

    How about some NSVs!?!?

Today I put on a pair of my sisters size 22 button up jeans; no spandex no elastic waist. I could get my hand in, sideways, bw me and the waist band! I'm shocked!

    Hair Loss!

Those of you losing your hair; how much protein are you getting a day? Does this make a difference in your loss?
  22. elli'smommy

    Hair Loss!

I'm 4.5 mos PO and started noticing hair falling out more than normal in shower. So called Nut and was told its normal and should level off around 7-8 months PO. They recommended biotin but stated it may not work for me. I take 7500mg a day. Best of luck!

    Hunger Pains

I definitely didn't have them that early but now that I'm 4.5 mos PO I have a growling tummy from time to time. I talked about it in my support group and was told its the way our pouch reacts to digestion now. But I feel hungry. So when it happens I have some crystal light or coffee or something to drink. If it continues I have a high protein snack.

    How about some NSVs!?!?

    I bought two pairs of sweat pants in a 1x (I was a 3-4x), 2 pair if 1x bike shorts, a 48 bra (was a 52), and a 1x blouse (I was 3-4x) and the shirt is a little big :-)). Oh yeah... And a size 22 jean! I was 30/32!! Amazing!
