  1. Do I use premixed Proteins shakes, powder or do u make them yourself? There's a website called www.chefwoodys.com. It has some awesome recipes for Bariatric patients. I've started making my own so I can change the favors and consistency daily. Give it a try :-). Hope it helps.
  2. I puréed chicken last night and had no problems with it I think it was just me going faster than my pouch was ready to! Doing well over here!
  3. just sent you a request
  4. I know it's not fried rice but it may curb the Chinese takeout craving: go to www.chefwoody.com and look up General Tso Chicken. It's a Bariatric friendly recipe website and there's tons of food options there for whatever place you are in the journey. I'm actually cooking this tonight for my family. :-). Ill let you know how it goes! I've also made the very berry protein smoothie and I'm making Bariatric baked beans, enchilada casserole and pumpkin fluff this week :-). I still love cooking....and this website helps me keep it healthy and Bari-friendly for my whole family! Good luck!
  5. Hey guys! How's everyone doing? I also wanted to pass along my myfitnesspal name because I'm looking for friends for motivation; ellismommy4241. What exercises are you doing? What's working for ya and what's not. Talk to you soon! Chris
  6. Everyone looks fantastic! Can't wait to see that much difference in myself as well!
  7. I'm almost 6 weeks post op tomorrow (Woot woot) and I'm suppose to have 3 meals a day at 2 oz each. Plus liquids. I fill overly full all the time! My doc said unsound be getting around 800 cals a day but I'm usually nowhere near that unless I'm drinking two protein shakes a day and I can't do that and eat three meals. It's just too much.
  8. Do you know what the serving size is?
  9. What horrible, no good, very bad day!! Ppl can be so slimy! I hope your items are recovered and the burglars prosecuted. Prayers to you both.
  10. Thinking of you and sending prayers!
  11. Hey guys! Do I went to support group tonight and my questions were all surrounding my vomiting. Do basically what I got from the nurse is lose the chicken for now, switch to tuna, deli ham thinly sliced and canned ham. If those font stay down them I have to contact doc for a scope. Thanks for all the advice. C
  12. I haven't been pureeing the meats bc they told me I didn't have to unless I wasn't chewing good. I felt like I was chewing really good but maybe I'm not. I'll purée for a while and see if that helps. They also said if I can smash it with a fork there's no need to purée.
  13. I could wear the seatbelt in my Mom's van which i never had before! :-)
  14. So, I've only had about three handfuls of peanuts in the shell over the past five days. I've done well with them but I will stop. I'm not throwing up liquids. So mainly it's just the introduction of new foods on my puréed diet list. For example I ate grilled chicken (3 bites) Sunday night and it didn't stay down at all. But Saturday night we grilled 90/10 burger w cheese. I had 2oz of it and had no problems keeping it down. Last night I tried a small turkey meatball I made and rolled in prego with a sprinkle of cheese. I held it down but it took all my effort not to get rid of it. Now that you have more info; Is this normal sounding or should I call doc?
  15. I feel like I'm vomiting everything I eat. Not neccessarily all I eat but every time I eat nonetheless. Does this sound normal? Weirdly enough: in not suppose to have nuts and seeds but these fill me the most and I don't vomit with them! Any input welcome. C
  16. I was just cleared yesterday to lift over ten lbs. for a month postop I was restricted to 10lbs or less. Which was tough bc I have a 2.5 yo! My parent have stayed with me all month to help with me and elli. I recommend help! There were times that I just feel completely asleep! It wasn't until week 4 that I really got my energy back and stopped napping during the day. Best of luck!
  17. DVR has become my best friend! I can FF all the food commercials :-)
  18. Had my first post op visit today. I'm one month out. I've lost 28lbs in 31 days. Nut and Surgeon seemed very eased with progress. I was released to exercise and start puréed food list. I had tuna salad for lunch today. Even though it was only about four small bites it tastes like heaven but feels like i ate a side of beef! Hope I can keep it down. I'm so looking forward to kitting the pool again. We are heading to the lake tomorrow so I'm planning to swim the whole weekend :-)
