Anyone Suffer From Pseudotumor Cerebri?

I have had this condition for almost 4 years now. Weightloss is supposed to improve or eliminate it. So far nothing : ( wondering if anyone else on this forum has it or had it and if loosing a lot of weight helped and when did you start seeing a change? I have lost 40lbs. Have 40-50 left to reach goal.

That's a great weight loss. There are skinny people who have this condition, so sometimes it's not based on being overweight. Would you ever consider the shunt?

Hey J, things seem to finally be looking up ! The headaches have become a lot less frequent going from every day down to maybe 2 days a week... My eyes don't hurt much anymore either! Had an appt with my Neuro and he said from looking at my eyes he could see my pulse which meant my csf pressure was normal!!! He put me on an daily pill to keep migraines at bay but thinks the ptc is going into remission from the weight loss!

Hey JPrez, well it seems as tho it may be returning already : ( having all the symptoms again and migraines getting worse... So today I did something I've wanted to do for a while to lift my spirits when I'm down and to help raise awareness for a cure someday!

Hope you like it as much as I do !! It's the awareness ribbon for IIH or pseudo tumor cerebri .. They just renamed it for some reason!

I'm doing pretty well !! As long as I stay on my meds I seem to do fine, if I miss a few days my headaches and other symptoms come back. But I can't complain since at least it's finally being well managed! How is everything going with you?

Don't forget your meds! :-)

Things are going great my way. I was having headaches but it was from lack of sleep. I'm a nurse and work crazy hours on top of kids, hubs and everyday life. I was in over drive and couldnt relax. Got some meds to help me relax and sleep and bam no more headaches. I've been very lucky with my outcomes from the surgery. ICP gone. PCOS gone. Fat ass gone!
