Hey all! I looked around and couldn't find anything for June surgeries. I don't have my exact date yet, but it will be the 1st or 2nd week of June!! Sooo excited!! I had my lap band out on April 18th and they were supposed to do the bypass, but they weren't able to due to scar tissue. I saw my surgeon today and all should be a go for June! Yay!!!! RNY here I come!!!

I called the insurance company and scheduler every day and they finally got tired of hearing from me.

I was thinking of calling more, but don't want to go overboard & become a PITA. I guess that needing a surgery is as good a reason as any to keep calling. I've only called twice in the last 10 days & the receptionist already seems annoyed She just tries to reassure me that they will call me when I'm approved...

It turned out my scheduler didnt fax over the paperwork although she said she did and there was a glitch in the insurance company's system that wouldnt allow my approval to go through. It would have gor swept under a rug if I didnt keep calling.

I wish you well. My SD was 4/15/13. I did great. Since 2 weeks before surgery to now I have lost 35 lbs! The only problem I have is chewing and eating slow. I get full and it hurts. I have been having a hard time getting in 80 grams of Protein a day.

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum. My surgery date is June 18, 2013. I have my pre-admission testing June 3rd, my last appointment with the surgeon on June 10th. I start my 'lovely' liquid diet on June 4th. Two weeks of protein shakes and clear liquids, yummy, I can't wait, LOL! I just hope I can get through these two weeks! I am really glad I found this group. Lots of useful information, lots of support (which I am going to need), and GREAT people! I have been reading through a lot of different threads, and I am so glad to see so many have the same questions and concerns as myself. I am looking forward to becoming more involved in discussions with all of you. Any suggestions, advice, comments would be much appreciated.
